I just became an NRA Life Member....

i should have bought a life membership in 1963 when as I recall, it was $100! Of course, back then a M-1 Carbine sold for $17 from the DCM and I was making about $125 a month!
Somewhere between 1975-85 dad bought 5 m1 carbines for $55 each and sold 4 of them for $100. I wish i had a stack of cash and a time machine sometimes.

I'll get to that life member eventually. I just bought a year last week, I'll catch life member with a bonus check sometime next year.

Just got a phone call from NRA. I thought they were looking for a donation, but actually they were offering upgrades on memberships. The girl said I could get 5 years for $100.00. I asked about a Life membership. Half off right now at $500.00 and you can do monthly or quarterly payments if you want. Been wanting to do this for years.

Be sure to update your NRA banner on the forum!!!

I don't know why, but this reminded me.....

Congratulations, welcome, and thank you!

We're in a fight here in WA State, and can use all the help we can get.

I don't know where it came from, but when I read this a thought popped into my head.

" A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that. " ... Shane

Were truer words ever spoken??

Call the NRA and ask about Veterans discount. It's been several years ago but as a service connected disabled veteran I was able to purchase a life membership for either $200 or $250, I forget which.

As a matter of fact, the 1st and the 4th get ruffed up occasionally.

As does the 5th. The proposed EPA regulations regarding occasional standing or running water on private property, things like mud-puddles and shallow ditches that might not contain water but two or three times per year, are particularly egregious.

Congratulations OP and welcome to the Lifer status :)

I forked up the money for my lifetime right after the tragedy at Sandy Hook. Nobody could convince me of the importance of defending the 2nd Amendment better than the people I heard say we didn't need it.
