I just earned a double Gold Star’s for my man card.

I threatened our teenage daughter for weeks about cleaning her room. Finally told her if she didn't, I would. Waited until Saturday morning when she loved to sleep late. Got the leaf blower, quietly crept to her basement room, and WOW did stuff move! I'm still hearing about that one.....

Maybe no one else has ever reclaimed mined used shot from a trap and skeet range for reloading shotgun shells, but back in my skeet shooting days, I did. Mined shot has all sorts of debris in it - sticks, leaves, dirt, target fragments, etc. I used an electric leaf blower to perform the first stage of cleaning it. With a cloth on the ground, my son would hold the leaf blower, and I would pour shot in front of the nozzle, and all the light foreign matter would be blown away. I followed up with washing the shot in a wash tub with soap and water, followed by sun drying and application of powdered graphite. I cleaned thousands of pounds of shot in my back yard that way. And for skeet, it works as well as, or better than, new shot.

I would have melted it down and had me a bunch of 38 special wadcutters or 45 ACP SWCs.

Works for blowing the dust from inside the f150. If it needs a detail cleaning use the air compressor with a air blower that has a long piece of tube added to it. Cleans the carpet and the seams in the seats. Compressor attachment can clean a stopped up drain also. Stick the tube in the drain pack a rag around it tightly. Use short bursts. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE JUST POURED A DRAIN CLEANER IN THE STOPPAGE?

I tried a few of these tricks with my gas powered leaf blower. Found out not all the oil in the gas/oil mixture is burned up in combustion.

Charlie

You got that right! Several years ago my wife was out of town and I decided to use the ole leaf blower to clean the kitchen floor after I had the dogs in overnight. It worked like a charm... expect for the dust that flew up and settled over everything... and the smell of the gas/oil mixture lingered for most of the rest of the weekend! OOPS!
