I'm watching NCIS reruns and munching on a bag of Circus Peanuts when Luscious looks at me and says:

"You like weird candy, you know that?"

"MMffmph, nom, nom, nom, gulp.. What do you mean?"

"Circus Peanuts, Banana Moon Pies, Chick-O-Sticks. What's up with that?"

Someone besides me must like them or else they wouldn't be in the stores.

So, fess up and help a Brother out.

Chick-o-stix = round Zagnuts (think big peppermint stick type appearance) for those who aren't blessed to have them in their area. A staple around these parts since childhood . . . . :p

Nuttin' weird about that . . . even in Ohio :D

Used to live in Kenova (my kid brother was born in Huntington) before we moved across the river to Hanging Rock.
Musta brung the hankering wid me!;)

I havent had circus peanuts in years.

I seemed to have like them better when they were left out over night and got a little tough in texture

My dad buys me a bag of circus peanuts every year for Christmas. At 39 years old I find they don't taste nearly as good as when I was 10. I am a Reisens lover, hot tamales, and lemon heads kinda guy. My next dental appointment is in two weeks, with me luck.

Ah...Chick-O-Sticks, I still like them. Had the chicken pox as a little boy, in comes my mother's mother and says in her sweetest voice "here honey this will make you feel better." Guess what, it did. :D

Tell me what is in/on Circus Peanuts besides the peanut(if there is one). I'm thinking of something I like and want to see if it is the same thing with a different name.

100% suger, formed to the shape of a peanut , orange colored, give you a tooth ache just looking at them.

Oh, yes, I remember those. What I'm thinking of I believe are called "French Burnt Peanuts"(or something like that) -they're real peanuts glazed with corn sweetener, colored sort of red, and spiny on the outside. Pretty good treat now and then.

Cracker Barrel is a good source of hard to find candy and gum.

Remember Beeman's and Blackjack?

And who can forget "The Teaberry Shuffle"?! I think that was Herb Alpert playing trumpet on the tune.

Peanut Butter Smoothies or Mallo Cups? I used to save the "coins" but never did turn them in on merchandise.

Okay Tyrod, how many Fireballs can you do at once? When I was a kid I used to be able to have three in my mouth at a time but I'd probably die if I tried that now!

I liked Mountain Bars when I was a kid in Oregon. Don't have them here in Virginia.

Flavored with bananna oil right? Yummy! I also like Chick-o-sticks. (When I was a kid they were called Chicken bones) Never had a moon pie.

My 73 year old father has a bag of Bit-o-Honeys in the glovebox of his car, and I, his 41 year old son, raid his car for candy whenever I'm over for a visit. Since I live right around the corner, this usually turns into a "Do you know where all my candy has gone??" talk after I bring the car home from the car wash.

Since he's a diabetic and shouldn't have them anyway, according to my mother, I just grin and blame one of my kids, who are never with me when the candy theft occurs..
