Recently introduced to the N frame and this forum. Picked up a 6in 28-2 back in February, built in 1975, aside from a timing issue that the Factory fixed, she's a peach.

While home in PA on leave these past few weeks, I picked up a NIB 1969 28-2 6in still wrapped in wax paper. She's too nice to shoot. I also picked up a 1977-1978 25-2 6.5in in Excellent condition. Without a doubt, this revolver is one of my favorites. Fun revolver, granted I found out the hard way that I need a de-mooner for pulling the spent brass off of the moon clips

Both my 28 and 25 are without a doubt two of the most accurate revolvers that I own, the groups I'm getting with these at 15yds is awesome to say the least, I should have bought an N frame a while ago

I love 'em too. They do a better job handling large caliber, high power ammunition than anything else out there. I love the weight and heft of the guns, acquiring and staying on target is easier with them than with the smaller models. I also love the way they look and feel in my hand.

I share your passion for the N frames, as does our illustrious forum administrator. I love the 28's, and particularly the pre-28 Highway Patrolman. Lots of history there. My current favorite is a 5" 27-2 I picked up recently, 99% condition, and a sweet shooter. Enjoy!

I love them too. :)

"K" frames are nice and comfortable but an "N" feels a heck of a lot more business like in the hand. I have a 27-2, a 28-2 and a 1917 ARMY. I am in the process of buying a 29 Silhouette with a 10 5/8" barrel and a 25-2 :)

Yay for "N" frames :)

The majority of my smith collection is n frames. Here is a sample

Allen-Frame, "Great Googly-Moogly" doesn't even begin to describe that photo.

I have two...........and now I feel so meek and insignificant.

I feel like the N frame is the perfect size for a gun. If they made one in .22 LR then I would buy one. If they would bring back the four inch and three and an half inch eight shot .357 then I would buy one of each. I missed out a few years ago on this. They were all snapped up once I finally heard about it. I'm giving serious thought to selling off my K frame collection and going all N and J frame. I just like a huge full of steel revolver.

So that's where they went.

Geez Allen, no wonder I can't find one!

Random thought of the day:

Allen-Frame,

Do you offer museum tours of your collection? I would be more than happy to buy you a beer in return...

Unless I counted wrong, three more and you will have to open a thrid box of shot shells...

Gentlemen, I did not mean to hijack the mans thread.
This is just what it has come to.
Years of concerted effort and wheeling and dealing to create a group like this.
The whole collection, and more, will be on display at the Smith and Wesson Collectors Association meeting in Orlando
this week.
Become a member of the S&W C.A. and join us next year.

Regards
Allen
