I made my one and only Glock a revolver

Glock 19. I put a NY1 Trigger in it and really didn't notice any difference.

Just put a NY2 in in it. Now there is a difference! I feel I can actually pick it up without in going off

Feels like the Sigma V.1 now. Dry firing it I kinda like the heavier pull, not like it's a competition gun.


Gotta go shoot it see if I like it or it will just go back in the safe for another year.

I "believe" the 1 is 8lbs., the 2 is 12lbs. I am going to put one or the other in my new G36. I've had it done before on past Glocks I've owned. I've never installed one myself. Somewhere in this mess around here I have a Glock service manual CD.. The NY triggers look different. Any problem installing them?

No problem installing the only tricky part (until you figure how easy it is) is putting the slide lock back on. You need to get the paper clip locking spring UNDER the top frame pin.

I just came back from the range and tested it with 100 rounds.

Guess what!. That suckers coming back out tomorrow!. It's brutal.It's worse than a Sigma trigger.

I'll try the NY1 again if not back to the regular spring.

There is gazillion Glock take down videos on line, but I have a better DVD. It doesn't show the NY trigger but its a complete tear down and reassembly, I have a online copy of the Armor pages, I'll find the link.

OCD1: Do a google search on "glock trigger upgrade". There's a U Tube how to on what to use in combo parts to come up with a Glock approved NY trigger. I've had this done a couple times. I can't link to it here. I wonder why?

I tried this once....

3.5 glock connector and NY1 makes a nice pull.

I was told its around 6lbs...but I did not gauge it.

I shot a 1000 round course with this in my issued G21.

I just bought a Kahr CW9 and it has a pretty smooth "revolver like" pull but it still stacks a bit at the end, and my Ruger LCP has an O.K. trigger for a pocket gun but I probably won't be buying any more of the trigger cocking semi-autos. I was thinking about buying a Glock but I like shooting a pistol with a trigger similar to a nicely tuned 1911.

I agree that the NY1 with the 3.5 connector is the hot tip. The pull is about the same as stock but the feel is better. Also, the NY springs are compression springs where the stock spring is a tension spring with eyelets on it. Guess which one will break and which one will not? Seven of my eight Glocks are set up this way. The 8th (a Glock 17) is set up for GSSF matches with the 3.5 connector and stock spring.

I thought that he had traded the Glock for a revolver! Darn. To be honest after having shot our duty weapons (Glock 21's with the 8 pound triggers) and then having shot a Glock 21 with a 3.5 pound trigger. I would can the LE trigger in a heartbeat for any gun that was mine. The 3.5 pound trigger makes a Glock actually worth shooting to me. But I don't see me buying a glock anytime in the near future as long as I have my 27-2 handy.

Perhaps that's what folks like about Glocks.

I prefer the trigger on the SA XD's or Kahr which are also striker fired.

Agreed, the NY 2 trigger is horrible.

I was issued a G21 in 93.
I was turned onto SW 3rd Gen in 98 and switched out as main carry (DA/SA)
As a Glock Armorer....I had several opportunities to attend Glock Workshops and it was around 2003 (fully committed to SW DA/SA) where the Glock standard trigger felt funny early at a 1000 round school and did not want to upset my trigger finger memory (hahahhahahahaa)

the intructor gave me a 3.5 and a NY1 indicating a much smoother pull instead of the lighter take up and then short break.

I liked it and shot the rest of the class with it and it did nothing to my DA/SA trigger finger memory (hehe)

the connector does nothing but change the angle which either lightens or strengthens the trigger pull. you will still have the short reset if proper follow through is utilized with a glock. of course if you are a trigger slapper and can hold the gun steady....more power to ya!!!

I teach firearms to police cadets and my next go around is next week. the academy uses G19s (why they bought 19s makes no sense to me but before my time). over a month ago I made the G19s inert with plastic yellow barrels and issued them the guns and showed them proper dry fire practice so when it came to range time....muscle memory in the area of trigger pull should be somewhat developed.

many of them....being nervous cant relate to trigger speed. they just start to pull and then snap the trigger (this is with standard 5lbs connectors)

they are going to hate me....but I bought all the guns NY1s....as I want them to slow down on trigger speed and then about on day 3....I will switch back to regular triggers.

this is my first time conducting this test....so we will see if this works. if they shoot better with NY1s....I may just leave them in their for future classes.

So if I read this correctly, the 3.5 and NY1 should be to my liking OR are you saying to shoot it enough and get used to it.

I like the gun as a whole but as mentioned the trigger is just not to my liking compared to all my other striker guns let alone revolvers.

Appreciate your experience on this.

I ordered 27 NY1s and put one in a G19 with the standard 5lbs connector that I have in my possession.

The cadets are going to hate me because of the increase weight but I want to miminize trigger jerking and speed to increase accuracy at further distances.

These are cadets who dont have a job yet or were sent by their dept and will have to go through that dept firearms transition when they graduate from the academy and are sworn in.

I teach basic firearms and place an emphasis on marksmanship using all the fundamentals while stepping out of the box of static shooting.

Based on what I just installed (NY1/5lbs connector), and recalling the NY1/3.5 connector, there is a big difference.

I remember the Glock instructor telling the class the NY1 and 3.5 makes a nice trigger pull.

3.5 connector alone is a very light trigger and requires training to become proficient, especially for duty or CCW.

I had to "yank" a personal duty weapon off of approved carry because this officer (who is an armorer) put one in and when I saw him qualifying...he was shooting very poorly (missing) in the area of some rounds getting away from him because he was out of control. I inspected his weapon which was also failing because of a non factory recoil spring and observed the "-" connector. I rewrote the policy to indicate no 3.5 connectors by themselves for duty use with out Dept.

try it....I think you will like the combo NY1/3.5 connector.

Make sure your trigger bar which rides up against the connector is clean and then lubed with quality oil. only one drop is required.

Well, my 3.5 lb connector finally was in stock and received it.

Put that in along with a NY1 trigger and it's a world of difference! I have only dry fired it but it feels so much smoother and a little longer pull.

Not the snap bang of the standard trigger.

I think I like it (the trigger).
