Over the last 10 days, I have had 1,600 .22 Mini-Mags, 1,500 .22 Thunderbolts, 2,000 rounds of M-22, and over 1,000 rounds of 9mm delivered to my home! Some of it had been back-ordered and just came in by surprise today. Luckily, my wife was in the bathroom when UPS came. Otherwise, she would have freaked. Even though I have been complaining about hoarders for months, I have slowly become one because I have bought over 10,000 rounds of .22 since January. Oh, I forgot to mention that I picked up my Glock today after waiting the obligatory 10 days here in California. If my wife finds out, my dog will have better accommodations than me tonight.

Just sounds like you are a normal guy for this forum. Your wife ought to be proud that her hubby is a 'prepared person' ! Good job.

Ought to be, but won't, at least, if I remember anything correctly about wives!

I'd be more apt worry about your progressive delegation, gov. Moonbeam and DHS than your bride. Is Alcatraz is open?!?!?!

I don't recall the last time I didn't play second fiddle to the dog.

That's the one time in life that afternoon shift is nice - you can sneak stuff in while she's asleep. ;) :D

Aw geez, you're on the list now! Look out for the black helicopters, don't use your cell phone, delete all your email accounts!!!

Haha, I have made a habit (even pre-hoarding days) of buying 1 box of ammo every payday. I stopped for a while, rarely got a chance to go shooting it seemed. Been back at it for a few months now.

You're my hero!

This reminds me of my ole lady just the other day.

I come home from work and she's in my gun safe pulling each individual box of ammo out and stacking it on the floor according to caliber size. I ask her what shes doing, she says SHHHH hold up im not done. So i give her a few more minutes and she yells "COME HERE!!!!!!!!!".

She says "Whats with the extra 1,000 rounds of .300 AAC and those 6 bricks of .22LR?"

My reply..........OOOPS!!!!!!! =-)

PS: Come to find out, she had counted my ammo before just for giggles. But she wrote down how much i had of what. I'm assuming she knew some day i'd try to pull the wool over the sheeps eyes.

What's the big deal?
That ain't so much . . . . especially if you say it real fast.;)

It's a trick

Sounds like your wife has had her eye on some jewelry, purses, or new shoes. She is putting you on the defensive.
Be sure to let us know what it is. Maybe within two weeks some big order will come in from the shopping network. The little electric toaster oven is nice for toast, pizza, meat, and other stuff the microwave not good at. And it does not heat up the house much in summer, like the real stove is famous for.

My day has ended and she is not any wiser. If I can make it until Friday (payday), I will be in the clear. We just can't buy any food, gas up the cars, or buy any diapers until then.

P.S. (The diapers comment was just an exaggeration that was added for effect)

Your wife has the combo to your gun safe ????:eek:
I don't go into my wifes closet, she does'nt go into
the gun safe. :D:D I once asked her if she wanted the
combination in case something we're to happen to
me. Her reply was "No Thanks", just give the combo
to your best friend in case.

Aloha,

My Wife knows that what ever I ammo I have is hers to shoot. if she wants

We usually go to the range together and leaves ammo selection to me.

We just got thru with a Complete gun inventory, including costs, just in

case something happens to me. Between what she knows and my FFL

friend, she will come out ahead.

As a wife myself my only concern would be if you didn't get any in a caliber I could use! :) Assuming she shoots one or more of those you're golden.

On the safe issue, both of us know the combination. Seems prudent to me.

need to get that wife problem fixed. nothing wrong with buying a little ammo.

I've been out of with due to an injury for a few months now, and spent a bit of time tracking gunbot to stock up on stuff as it was listed mid-day. There was a two week period UPS was at my door every other day.

I ordered some tires from Tirerack three weeks ago and met the UPS guy at the truck. He looks at me, looks at the tires, then back at me and says "Are the bullets in the tires this time?"

He's due to drop off some Thunderbolts in about 3.5 hours, then M22's tomorrow, and Aguila on Thursday (but maybe tomorrow). Super cool guy, I love having a great delivery driver.

feast or famine

i teach basic pistol and reloading and Ct is having a heat wave. so I've been holed up in the basement converting inventory to ammo. it is timely that my order from Missouri Bullet arrived so i will likely out crank the heat.

--->I'll put a mattress in the basement b4 I'd cough up 12K to rebuild the house a/c
