Gorgeous piece of functional art. We all know bird hunters regularly take highly ornate firearms into the field, and I personally take a highly engraved and ornately stocked .22 rifle into the field all the time, with no reservations, but rifle and handgun enthusiasts seem to shy away from "marring" their fancy toys.
Just a word of caution, and you probably already know this. Honest wear and tear is one thing, but engraved blued guns, especially in the "shaded areas," are particularly prone to corrosion. Plan to keep her well oiled and check it often for any signs of developing surface rust.
Beautiful revolver!
