I have convinced myself I need a 15-22P. Where have y'all been able to find one? I've searched all over Houston and have had no luck.

Since it's a discontinued model you're likely going to need to broaden your search. Maybe a WTB here as a start.

There are also some listed on the national gun auction sites.

There is/was one for sale here in the gun section. Bring some money....

Still there ...

My goodness, that's a helluva chunk of coin for that gun!

I must admit though, my 15-22P is a VERY fun gun to shoot! Everyone who has shot it at the range just starts smiling after the first few rounds, and then just "goes to town" with the remaining ammo in the magazine.

Some people criticize its purpose. For me, its purpose is for pure fun!

Best of luck with your hunt!

^^^ I go to town with all the ammo I've brought with me during that range time!
Much like a Pringles addiction - once you pop, you keep popping!! :D

I bid $500 on one yesterday and still didn't meet the reserve. I think that's probably my top dollar.

What do y'all know about the HK 416 pistol? It is made by Walther and marketed under HK. I'm not sure what the relationship between Walther and S&W is..although my M&P22 was made/designed by Walther.

very well made guns but such a pain in the *** to take the bolt out and clean it. you gotta take barrel out and everything. its way too involved to take apart after shooting it every time. thats the only reason i didnt get the HK 416 pistol.

From what I understand, Walther is the manufacture of the guns, and S&W handles the marketing/selling of them in the U.S.

I lucked out and got one for a fair price off a WTB ad on armslist!! Next step, fill out the paperwork to SBR. =D

^^^congrats on the find!
There are a few now on gunbroker too, what was the damage?

I could be wrong and hopefully I am because I don't want to burst your bubble ... :(

I've read somewhere in this forum about the upper on the 15-22 rifle vs. the pistol are different and will not match/mount properly?

I haven't tried with both my rifle and pistol 15-22s and I don't remember where in the forum I've read it, but FYI or something to consider(?)

$500 including the required next day air shipping and a spare mag. I'm very happy.

I've heard the contrary about fitment. This picture (that I found google searching) seems to show that they will work together. I will absolutely not try to put the two together until I have an approved form 4. I can report back in 7-9 months =P
