I have a Model 40, factory nickle, the Centennial-marked box it came in, and the swab. A fellow forum-ite is sniffin' around it, but I don't know what to quote, price-wise. They seem to be all over the map. Our search engine and GB run from $400 to $1,000. While a sterling example, I don't see this as a 1K gun, no way. What does the HiveBrain say about this?

Nice gun, if it helps I paid 595. For the pre model 40 in this picture this Last Christmas, no box at a local large gun show, it was the only pre 40 or 40 there. I haven't saw a nickel one for a long time at a gun show. Very nice package

If you saw between $400 (presumably no box, average condition) and $1000 (maybe overpriced - you didn't mention if those were selling prices), I would guess yours with the original box would be higher than the average of the two extremes, so $750.
