I need to quit...PICS ADDED

That was a darn good buy...as long as it shoots and is in decent shape. You hardly ever find N-frames anywhere for under $500. I thought I did good last year picking up a 4" HP at a gun show for $400, but you bested that! It's my "go to" traveling gun...like they said, a cross between a Rolex and a Tiger tank.

I'll post a picture when I pick it up. I looked it over, it looks fine , minimal holster wear, and it locks up as tight as any....
I will update when I get it and shoot it.

You are about to enter the realm of the N frame. It's a whole different world.

Beware!! You are about to step off onto a very slippery slope.

Have fun, but don't say you weren't warned.

I can only speculate on how many guns I would have if I were not married. I've told my son, "Buy your guns before you get married and never sell anything."

Oh no, it happened again

Took the wife to the LGS to show her the Mod 28 I put in layaway. She took one look, and said " I want one"....Too bad, the dont have anymore...Guy there says, I just happen to have another in the back, it has a lot of strange nicks scratches on the cylinder, but otherwise looks good. Locks up tight, etc....SO I now have 2 of them on layaway there....Got this one for 329.00

20.5 grains of H110 with a 125 grain JHP. Is that a safe load for this gun?
My Speer Manual tops out at 20.0 grains of H110 in combination with the various 125 grain jacketed bullets Speer makes.

My Hornady Manual lists 20.6 grains as the max for H110 with Hornady's 125 grain bullets.

As Gil stated, the M28 will handle any safe .357 Magnum load.

Cautious soul that I am, I would start at 19.5 grains and work up from there. Having said that, I have to admit that my manuals are a little old. If you go to Hodgdon's website, you will see they list a higher max for H110 with this bullet weight. Be safe.
