I never thought it would get this crazy.

Speaking of primers..........

Considering the current prices, I thought the opening bid price wasn't too bad. But what they sold for....WHOA!

If everyone would calm down for 30 days, and stop buying, you will see the market "correct itself".

Supply and Demand, people, Supply and Demand.
It rules the market. Always has, always will.

Y2K was one helluva funny event. I personally did not buy a thing, 9 years later I'm still standing. As far as ammo, let everyone buy as much as they like, I'll wait and get mine later.
Panic Panic up goes the prices.

It would appear that many of the old hands on the forum live their lives being as prepared as possible both in financial planning and having enough of life's needs{food, toilet paper} as well as shooting material. This time that we are now living in will also pass as it has in the past. The best advice as been given several times above, don't get in a hurry and when things do cool down, do not forget what happened and do not forget to be responsible in your preparations for the future. Most important in times of strife we gun owners and shooters most be ready to help one another. United we stand, divided we fall.

I worked at Shooter's during the Y2K thing, we sold cases of ammo and MRES and guns galore. I worked at the Prison on New years eve day and went home at 3pm stopped by the liquor store and bought an extra 6 pack of beer.

I figured if the world ended I would have an extra day off that week.

I have given boxes of ammo away to buddies who were down to a few rounds lately, and I always give my brass to my friend Steve.

As Major Clipton once stated:

"Madness!...Madness!!!"

Although it isn't related directly to this thread,
The suggested formula of one part Murphy's oil soap, one part denatured alcohol and one part peroxide works like a champ for cleaning up black powder firearms.
