I rarely gamble...

As promised, here is my post-letter update...Pictured below my fresh-from-the-mailbox SWHF letter states that my 4-screw 27 no dash was a single gun order to a large wholesaler, Gopher Shooter's Supply in Faribault Minn...It shipped, according to the letter and the invoice, on 11/28/1958...However I was initially informed that it shipped 1/19/1959 which is hand-written next to the S/N on the invoice...The first date typed in on the invoice was "X"ed out and 11/28/1958 entered after it, so I'm a little unclear on the actual shipping date...The important points for me are that the target hammer, target trigger and rosewood target stocks are clearly shown as features on the invoice, which verifies that it is still in its as-shipped configuration...Those features are also grease-penciled onto the bottom of the box with the S/N, verifying its authenticity...

Also in today's mail I received a 1965 edition of the wholesale catalog for Gopher Shooter's Supply for 1965 which I was lucky enough to find at Abe Books after I learned who the gun shipped to originally...I only wish I knew now who the original buyer was since this was a special single gun order...I am over the moon with this one, and my thanks go out to Mike Helms and Don Mundell for their help...:D...Ben

As a bonus (maybe I'm living somewhat right after all) I also received two other letters today...The first tells of my 4-screw Mod. 15 no dash which I now know is still in its original configuration with target hammer, target trigger and unrelieved target stocks as indicated by letter and invoice...I only wish I still had the original box...

The second letter confirms that my K-22 Masterpiece with 3-digit S/N is also in its original, all matching number configuration...For this one I do have the original box......Ben
