I really wish S&W would make the model 12 again.

Personally, I want at least two more of these guns.

I think the model 12 snubbie is one of the nicest carry guns I have ever owned, but I refrain from carrying mine because I do not want to mess it up. If I could get at least one more blued snubbie model 12 then I'd carry it and preserve my nickel one. {sigh}

So, who else likes the model 12?

Here's my 12-2:

The last one I saw at the local gun show was 350 in 90% + condition. Just prior to that I paid about 400 for one that was 98%.

They are still out there. And I agree they are excellent carry guns. The factory blue finish on the aluminum frame seems fragile at best.

Good hunting

They do. Only it's called a 360PD. 11 ounces. .357 and will NOT break when shooting standard loads.

You can't really compare a 360PD to a Model 12 - apples & oranges. The 360PD being a 5-shot J-frame, the 12 a 6-shot K-frame. I have yet to shoot a J-frame that has as nice of a trigger as a K-frame.

Nor the general handling characteristics.

I agree. They should never have stopped producing the 12. Awesome concept. The shooting characteristics of the K-Frame at the carry weight of a J-Frame. How can you beat that combination?

I know I'm still looking for one! I love my Colt Cobra and would love to compliment it with a Model 12. No interest at all I the 360PD, on the other hand.

I have one and would like to find a second one!!

I too, would like to see the 12 re-introduced and add a 3" barrel option.

I only have two K frames, and one is the 12-2 RB.
I really like it! Whichever one of you guys talked me into
it, thanks again!

Yeah, but there'd just be something WRONG with a new M12 with a big ol' lock - hole in the side.

Maybe it is just me, however it was meant to be used...so I would use it for what it was designed for....it never designed to be a safe queen...

I'm with you Randy. As much as I appreciate a beautifully maintained never-turned revolver I cannot bring myself to own one. I have to be able to use anything I buy.

Why, yes, of course I can carry four guns at once. ;) My viewpoint does not prevent me from buying guns that are less needed than others but I do intend to carry and use them all.

I would also like to see them make a model 12 again .I have one and never carry it also have a 315 night guard and it is not the same . It is a K frame snub nose but not the same as the ole mod 12. The ole model 12 2" is fun to shoot and easy to carry. It would be nice to see them make one out of scandium and blue it.
