I didn't realize my new to me 6906 had dyslexia until filling out the paperwork to purchase the pistol. The serial number is backward to the model number 6096.

Time is what I don't have, my only free time comes in the wee hours. Life with a two year old.

I'd keep your receipt paperwork handy. That's a neat number for sure.

The only issue that I can see is that the Police tend to enter model numbers on stolen Smith guns sometimes instead of serial numbers. IIRC, a few years ago a fellow officer entered "5906" into the system and it returned stolen. There were a few hits on this serial number.
