I lied! Model 48 no dash, 22 Mag - 6". Definitely an impulse buy as soon as I picked her up I had to have it. Bank vault type lock up, fit and finish on it is remarkable. Got a few dings and scratches, but not too bad for almost 70 years old. I just turned 40 a couple months ago and figured I would finally spoil myself, can't wait to run some lead downrange with it!

My wife is going to be out of town for a week or more…late June through early July. It's going to take a lot of restraint on my part to not buy anything while she's away.

So many gun stores…so little time.

I told myself (smart enough to not tell the wife) that I wasn't gonna buy any more guns until I have, at the very least, fired all of the ones I currently own. It was a sorta half-hearted New Year's Resolution I guess you could say.

Well I screwed that up by March when I just had to buy an FPC. It really happened before I even remembered my "resolution". I felt sorta bad about it for a second or two....... I really did, but the damage was done so I promptly forgave myself and vowed I'd pay more attention.

Well fiddlesticks! I screwed up again before I even had a thought about what I was doing. A 3" 65-3 was awarded to me on a little playful bid I placed on it.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd win! Scout's Honor!

Then a week or so later I saw a 3" 65-6 Ladysmith at a "give-a-way buy me now" price, and low and behold, it happened again!

I'm not sure how I'll ever trust myself again! I'm a total screw-up! I sure hope I can forgive myself one day ..........

So there's some of us (most of us) that understand how a little slip up like that can happen. You need to congratulate yourself, forgive yourself and move on.......

It happens........ Congratulations!

I think I need one of those.........

Congrats on a nice find.

I told myself the same exact thing yesterday while browsing a local gun shop.

Stuck to my word too, and didn't buy a gun.

Bought a $200 flashlight insted....:(

All that is true as I found out yesterday at the gun show...I had accomplished my mission of carrying in four S&W's of which I had multiple examples, and selling them...Naturally in walking around with a newly acquired wad of cash in my pocket, a 3 1/2" Model 27-2, target hammered and combat triggered, caught my eye...This one, in bright blue, whispered to me how good it would look paired up with my nickel version of the same gun...

Before I knew it an offer escaped my lips, and was surprisingly accepted...Not being one to renege on a deal, I dutifully peeled off the correct number of C-notes and got out of there before some other gun called my name

The nickel version, along with its three older 5-screw 3 1/2" uncles seemed to approve after I got home......Ben

Jocko-44, if you don't know, .22 WRF can be fired from .22 magnum revolvers and rifles. I have never tried .22 WRF in a semi-auto pistol or rifle though.

Left to right, Short, Long, Long Rifle, WRF, MRF.

I feel sorry for you guys. No discipline. No self control. No self respect. I keep telling myself, cool you jets. Calm down. So yesterday I only bought one little Ortgies 25. The poor thing had no magazine and now the mag will probably cost me almost as much as the gun. I'll start another thread, with pictures in the proper section.

I feel pretty good about myself, especially after buying seven last week.:p

Fired off a few rounds after work, holy cow this thing is LOUD even with hearing protection.

I just don't know how you could do something like that. None of us have ever done anything like that before. (ducking and running)
