Reason being if the manufacturer has sent the weapon knowing it is for online review posting you can bet your inheritance that that gun was
triple checked for fit, finish and functionality before being sent... Plus I firmly believe some reviewers are compensated in some fashion ... be it a free weapon, or
discounts or cash.... If they state they purchased off the rack I pay a bit more attention....but most of them receive perfect weapons for review.

I do trust opinions of Hickok45 even though he is supplied the weapon ... he gives an honest appraisal
I do trust opinions of Honest Outlaw and Justin Opinion...
Pay no attention to reviews by manufacturers team members reviews or project managers...

So no matter who you follow for reviews always do an on site in store total inspection of any weapon you are purchasing...If they will not let you do that go to another retailer who will.

Agreed. All the reviews of the Ruger RXM said it was the best thing since sliced bread (sliced bread being the Glock 19). I checked one out in the store and thought, ok it’s a G19 with a different logo. I still don’t like it. Same mushy trigger, same 2x4 grip.

I trust my own reviews, which granted are very few. I usually buy only after having fondled them at gun shops, gun shows and guns that friends own. I do shoot most before I buy them. Folks that review them for money usually are getting compensated in some way, shape or form. The only gun reviews that I tend to pay attention to are the old (read no longer in production) guns in some of the gun mags.
