I would like your prayers

Almighty God,

We humbly request you lift our brother in arms, Jay, and rest Your healing hand upon him. We pray for his complete healing, his comfort, and his peace.

For those suffering in Boston we ask You watch over them, heal their wounds, ease their pain, lend Your strength to all involved.

We ask this in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Jay, as a fellow cancer patient your post has had a profound effect on me. I haven't been through anything compared to what you have but I can feel you my friend, I really can.

I'm about a year older than you and many of my friends (too darn many) have some form of cancer or other. I have a prayer list going and you are now on it indefinitely.

I believe that a positive attitude, goes a long way in giving us all the best future we can have. I try to hang onto my faith and make the most of every day. God bless you Jay, I'll be thinking about you.

In November of 2011 I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. I had the cancer surgically removed and 4 lymph nodes were involved. I underwent chemotherapy every 2 weeks for six months. I finished May 28th, 2012. Later in 2012, I had cataract surgery and hernia surgery. Last fall I was declared "cancer free" after tests. About 3 weeks ago at one of my rechecks it was discovered my cancer has returned and spread. I have tumors on my liver, spleen, belly and groin. I had my first (this year) chemo treatment today. The prognosis is I have "chronic cancer". I can hope for long periods of remission, but it will keep returning. I could possibly live years. I feel pretty good (for 67 years old) right now. At this time money is not an issue. I spent $12,000 out of pocket last year for all medical, vision and dental. I would rather spend it on guns, real estate, etc, but I will be OK for the time being.

If you would take a moment and say a prayer for me, for cancer research, and if you have the time, the victims of the terror in Boston I would appreciate it.

So sorry to hear that Jay, I will be praying for you, feel free to pm me, I know you don't know me, but my real name is Bax, I pastor a small church now, but I served nearly 5 years as a hospice chaplin. I met some of the most incredibly brave wonderfull men and women, whose faith and strength was truly humbling to me. A young couple I married several years ago, recently lost their three year old to Leukemia, it has been heartbreaking battle, but I have every confidence that Jaxon is with Jesus tonight. That is what gives me strength and hope, I had a heart attack and triple by-pass three years ago, thanks to wonderfull Dr. and Nurses and a gracious God, I am still here, as are you. Live your life, enjoy your life, if you have a bad day feel free to pm me, and as per your request I will remember those going through the struggle with you today, and all those who lost their lives and were injured, and their families and friends. Thank you for sharing with us Jay, we love you brother, and I know your S&W family will lift you and your family up. Bro Bax

My prayers are with you, stay strong, and may God bless and watch over you.

Prayers are also with my brothers and sisters in Boston, much healing to be done there...

My prayers to you kellog; last week I was told by my medical onco that the chemo and radiation had eradicated the lung cancer. For whatever reasons, I still don't feel comfortable with that. I know what you are going through, so know that you will be another addition to my nightly prayers.
Al

Prayers sent your way. Cancer doesn't care who you are but if you're strong it tends to back off
