I have an idea for a revolver that I think would sell very well, and I'm a little surprised that Smith doesn't make it already, or hasn't in the past.

-K frame sized, 4" half-lug barrel, adjustable sights, 10 shot 22lr, target trigger & hammer, with an Aluminum / Scandium frame and Titanium cylinder.

I love my 4" 617 10 shot, and my 3" 317 8 shot, but something in the K size with 10 rounds and able to use the speedloaders and various K frame 22 accessories but nice and light would be about perfect. I think they would sell a bunch!

I have my dad's old JC Higgins/High Standard 9 shot 22 revolver, and with its steel barrel, and aluminum frame, the weight is just about right. The downside is that it has been used so much over the years, it has loosened up because of wear to the aluminum frame. Used a LOT. I think it is a Super Ninety Nine variant.

I agree, that would be a great gun. But the scandium frame is unnecessary. It adds complexity and cost with no additional benefit. A .22 Long Rifle just ain't that powerful. Maybe a blast shield would still be a good idea since .22's are so dirty.

Maybe on the Titanium cylinder, too. For the same reasons. Steel lined aluminum is more than adequate for a .22. Adding technology and cost just for the sake that it's kinda cool is not a good business decision.

Otherwise, I'm all about a 3 or 4-inch adjustable sight 10-shot .22LR alloy K-frame. It is a wonder why they don't have such an obviously practical revolver in production already.
