That one was made in the early 1950's before Smith started model numbers. The revolver has no model number - it is simply called a blued Chief Special.
If you have the serial number we might be able to tell when approximately it was shipped.
S&W introduced the J-frame (Chiefs Special) in October 1950.
That's a handsome Chiefs Special. Based on others with nearby serial numbers in the database S&W likely shipped it between late 1954 and early 1955.
It's a nice, early square butt. When you remove the stocks do you see the same serial number stamped inside the right stock? For collectors that makes a difference in the price.
I'd estimate the price between $600 and $700. Does the gun come with the original box? (The serial number would be written in grease pencil on the bottom of the box.) If so add about $100.
S&W assigned model numbers in 1957. The Chiefs Special added Model 36 to its name.
