Yeah, it's a '38 Chevy, just google 1938 Chevys and you'll see the big difference between the '37 and '38s grills and sides of the hood.

Egad! You're right! The 38 Chevy pictures came up on a Google search and I didn't bother to look at any of the other site pages. Wonder why they love our cars but not us...

Tis! Tis not! Tis! I owned a 46 chev, got looking at some pictures and couldnt tell it from a 42 model just before they quit for the war.

Thanks for all your guesses and all of your "DEFINITIVE" answers. That would put my Granpa in the 48-50 range I'm guessing. I blew up a little 2X3 picture to an 8X10 and framed it to give to my dad today. Just wanted to be able to give him a good guess as to when it was taken. You boys have been of the greatest assistance (as usuall)
