Identifying this 'modified' 38 S&W

What I know for sure about this 38S&W is that its been chopped.
1. Hand ejector
2. Sn 725552
3. Cal 38 S&W
4. Barrel length 2-3/8th" modified
5. Sights fixed hand ejector
(5) screws, no butt sn no, no lanyard

Butchered Victory model. Many of those were sold dirt cheap after the war and were modified heavily. That one has been shortened and nickeled after being heavily buffed. $150 gun to most collectors.

Cheap enough, they will be OK as a utility gun to keep under the pickup truck seat, etc. No collector interest or value. I would say that $150 is a little low for a price today. That’s about what you could get one for back in the pre-Covid days.
