Fox just interrupted a kids/adult comedy movie to present a news item. REALLY? You think the type of audience watching Wallace and Gromit will care?

The particular piece of news will be EXACTLY the same later in the day. Unless the asteroid is about to hit and they need to remind me to put my head between my knees and kiss my butt goodbye, nothing these clowns have to say warrants an interruption.

Cell phones now allow "live remotes" anytime from almost anywhere.
Not so long ago "live remotes" relied on a microwave unit.
Most microwave units sent signal to a terrestrial receiving unit.
Some broadcasting operations did have capability of sending signal to an orbiting satellite.

Live report in evening news by reporter standing in front of a now closed building where something happened earlier in the day.

Breaking News which is neither Breaking nor News.

Reminds me of that San Francisco TV newscaster woman broadcasting the (prank) names of the pilots of the Asiana Flight 214 crash landing. You can find it on YouTube if you don't remember the incident.

Which of the Fox networks, or was it your local Fox affiliate that made the call? Cut the cable cord and enjoy the free options. You might not like what you get, but it does not cost you anything.

If they hire Lara Logan, I'd happily consider that important news.
And she's been on there a few times recently, confirming just what you suspect of the media in general.

Lara's South African accent has faded, but she's still one of the few journalists worthy of the name. She's left CBS, where she had been on, 60 Minutes and was Chief Foreign Correspondent.

I want Judge Pirro back, too.

Afraid to say more here...

Overall, Fox is my favorite network. The others probably interrupt programs more often. Heck, if NBC interrupted a program with something from Chuck Todd, I'd change channels.

I like Fox also and will miss Judge Jeane. Donna Brazille is awful. I dont understand that move. Glad there have been good movies on. That makes channel change easy.

Don't know much about bluetooth but saw a recent advertisement regarding getting bluetooth on your hearing aid. Glad my hearing aid is an old one without the fancy apps. Frank

The Fox network had all their affiliates take the feed from Fox News. That information comes from the local Fox affiliate whose OTA broadcast I was watching. I sent them an angry-gram by email and received a grovelling reply to the tune of "it's the network, not us".

The movie had 15 minutes or less to run. As I said, it was a STATIC piece of information, nothing was going to change between the time they interrupted and normal news time. In disgust I changed channels to the golf on NBC, which was NOT interrupted or even tickered with this "news".

At least one would think that the new replacements would be qualified and
easy on the eyes.............

There is on local channel that I HAVE to switch , when the weather person comes on !!

"Good night John......"

"Good night, Walter.... "

Shades of the "Heidi" game!
