idiot mark

To be honest, I'm neither stressed nor hateful.

As far as being "new" to this stuff, after 200 plus posts, I find the adjective "new" a fascinating choice of words.

Let the floggings begin.

Well it looks like I stepped on an soft rock, I wasnt saying I was new, but others look at this and get turned off. I certainly am taken aback.

You are true to yourself, in like 8 months I have done what I and others feel is contributing, you in 10 years have really done nothing that others like, except 1.

I am not here to opinionate on others, but to help and share. That beind said I will bow to no one, I will apologize when I have wronged, you sir are another story. Your contributions are nothing more than opinions on others condition.

I hope nothing but the best for you.

Chuck, I'm happy to see you paraphrased my statement in the quote.

Obviously, something in my original comments was erroneous. If that is the case, I apologize for that. If this is not so, I won't be backtracking much. Actually, my comments were liked more than once and I'm sure that they were also disliked a fair amount-especially by folks who's statements I've taken exception to. Mostly, they didn't register much one way or the other-much like most everybody else's.

C'est La Vie.

As far as sharing with those who are less experienced, I don't find "sharing" silliness and/or downright incorrect information an especially useful public service. Again, I could be wrong about that-have been before and will again.

I've already devoted way too much time to this thread than it merits and to be honest, my last two comments have zero to do with the original question. Further, debating the form the message was delivered in rather than the correctness of the information contained in it is a little like wrestling with pigs. Everybody ends up getting dirty and, you're right in that nothing is additionally accomplished.

Have a good one Chuck and try not to work up too much heartburn on an immaterial issue.

Bruce

Your so right, I feel like I got off topic, i apologise for trying to make this pig fly.:D:p

In the Army we were taught to dis-assemble the 1911 starting from the bushing. I have a Kimber instruction book that says insert slide stop and swivel into position. That is an invitation for marking the frame.
I disagree with the "idiot" term.
I was able to smooth it out with 1500 grit wet/dry sand paper. Nice thing about stainless

Please, let us not ignore the Smith and Wesson Idiot Marks in the rear of the auto pistol slides, resulting from the ejector, sear release, and firing pin safety scratching the surface, if the owner is not careful reinstalling the slide. I have mentioned this before, and it seems to be an ignored topic. I have S&W Idiot Marks (slap head).
