If I Could Only Have Two...

Well, after viewing everyone elses posts I think I want to amend mine. I'd need more durability and one shorter barrel... New but painful 2 gun choices....:(

Two guns? - an AR15 and a 6" M629.
Two S&W handguns?? A 6" M629 and a 4" M66.

Nice guns OIF2, especially that Executioner stocked Tyler-T'd K-22.

Two guns? Single action 357 & single shot 12ga. They'd be easy for me to operate.

Bob,

You sure own some neat old guns and know how to take excellent photos of them as well.

As to your question - I think I have smoke coming out my ears from trying to figure which pairing I would list in response. I've narrowed it down to about 20 choices.......

Regards & Happy New Year!

Ain't easy, but in a SHTF world, I'd have to think about food and protection, so a 617 6" and a Mossberg 590/Remington 870 12 guage. If it's a S&W choice for two, it will be a 617 6" for food and a 629 6" for elephants. My wife would choose a 442 and a 66 4" for her own elephants. Ease of operation, interchangeability and availability of ammo drives the choices. This is a great question to ponder. I just watched a few videos about Detroit's slide into oblivion. YouTube has them. Welcome to America 2020? Makes me both sad and angry at what our governments, courts, bleeding liberals and corporate bigwigs have done to this great nation.

Half the fun of this thread is forcing people who love guns (lots of guns) to choose... a painful exercise. It's great to read what another shooter thinks is a mandatory keeper to him (or her).

if icould onlt have two

it would have to be my 66-2 2.5 &my 34-1 2". they will do everything i need.

This would be the first (and the last):

And the second would be my H&R single shot in .225 Winchester, .45-70, 20 gauge and .58 black powder.

That's two!

I am new to the S&W world. I have two that will remain with me for a long time, Model 28 .357 Highway Patrolman, Super Firearm (home defense) and a new one a Compact 9mm Model 3953 (conceal carry). I am very happy with both of them. S&W all the way.

Only 2

I've actually thought about this before. Especially since last January, if you get my drift. It would be a 4" P@R M66. Small enough to conceal, long enough to hunt with, stainless, so no rusting and can take .38s too.
No. 2 would have to be a shotgun. Most of mine have a lot of sentimental value, but I'd have to choose my late Fathers 12 ga. 97 Winchester for home defense and pheasants.
If you read Skeeter Skelton he did a Dobe Grant story on this. It's in "I Remember Skeeter" in Paper back and "Good friends, Good Guns and Good Whiskey".

Must have 3... 6" 17, 4" 19, & 6" 629 but if required I could drop the middle one.
