If you bought a new S&W recently and love it... tell us!

Bought my first Smith a year ago. Picked up a 38 special bodyguard for my carry gun. Love the size and weight for carry, but it its no fun to shoot target with! Just got a two 457 that was magnaported and i enjoy shooting that as much as i can.

I recently purchased a M&P 40 about a month ago. I have about 1000 rounds through it and it's great. I have been very pleased with the weapon. This is my first S&W and I am a big fan! Thanks.

Picked up a shield .40 on sunday 070812 and so far this week placed 150 rounds through it. First shots used the 6 magazine and then 7 magazine. Is my first .40 of any kind and only the third time shoting any kind of .40. Really like it. Lovely pistol and fun to shoot. Shot it at 23 and 25 feet. Then did some bowling pin excersises and metal plates at 25 yards. Rounded out the range time with sporting clays on the berm. A really nice pistol. I was to get a 9mm the week before but that deal fell through. The .40 was just a few days later and glad about this one as i had several various nines before.

Does love it but have not fired it yet count? I bought a model 657-4 41 mag Mountain Gun from a forum member here late last year. I have several revolvers, but for some reason this is probably the one that I get out of the cabinet and "admire" the most often. I had been looking for one for some time, and I told a friend at work that if he saw one to let me know. As he left, the door had hardly closed and one happened to pop up in the classifieds section here. I was lucky enough to get it. It's in excellent condition and looks like new. I realize I've had it for some time, but I intend to keep this one and shoot it in the very near future. I am very happy with it. wyatte

My new 325NG

I just picked this up at my dealer's last evening. I love the looks! It is in a favorite caliber, and is my first lock gun. It will be a week or so until I can get to the range and try it out. I will report back after that. I would like to find a set of the Pachmayr grips with the S&W logo that the Night Guards used to have on them. S&W told me last evening that they are out of stock, and they won't be carrying the grips. Here are just a couple of quick pictures.

Cheers,

Rick

This spring I aquired a NIB 627PC 5inch.
It's a beauty!
I should not have waited so long, now I need to find the right holster.
Trading a handful of FRN's for this revolver is the best investment I have done this year.

After I had it for a week I sent an email to customer service to express my satifaction, they replied 'your welcome'.

My 360PD works perfectly, and is great for personal carry...so light I don't know it's there. With "full-house" loads it appeals to my masocistic tendencies:eek:.

AND, my M&P15-22 is fun and flawless!

Love my 64-8 and 10-14..........I'm a fan of the fixed sight "plain vanilla" service revolvers:)

My 4" 66-7 is also one of the sweetest shooting revolvers in my collection, and I have MANY S&W and Ruger wheelguns. It shoots better and has a slicker action than the Dan Wesson I traded even up for it.

But the CA drop safe firing pins have to go.......

So far this year all I've bought is a pre model 15 and a model 610. The model 610 being my grail gun is now in my possession. Talk about a sweet revolver. Now that I've finally got the one revolver I just had to have. Now I'm feeling a bit lost. Yea there are a few more I want to add to the collection but nothing that caught my fancy as the model 610 did. Oh well. Guess a model 28 and model 57 will be my next got to have additions to the collectIon. I could even see getting another 610 for the collection after all if having one is great then having two 610's would be awesome.

Over the last 2.5 years I have purchased a S&W full size 1911, a 6 inch 629 and my wife just found me a Model 29 in 6.5 blue. All pistols operate without malfunction and are a pleasure to shoot.

I just purchased A 386pd W/2.5 barrel it was used and I was unsure at first about these new style air weights but it shot wonderfully with .38s
and was a real handful with .357 158gr SJSP's but not brutal. Fit and finish seemed real good this is my first with an IL but will not be my last

Got my first Smith and Wesson and it's also my first revolver in May. A 642-1 without lock. I've been seriously considering concealed carry and this was highly recommended so was my choice. I've put about 250 rounds through it, some +p but mostly 158 gr standard storebought. I absolutely love this little gun! The more I handle it the more I like it. Quality of workmanship and finish on it right out of the box was perfect. It is so smooth that it slips in and out of a pocket or holster effortlessly. I put some nice walnut grips on it - just because I like wood - and now I like it even more. OK so it barks like a bulldog and kicks like a mule, but that's part of the charm of it. Only complaint is that it's a dirty little bugger. I'm amazed how dirty it is when I come home from the range. Is that a characteristic of all revolvers? Semi-autos don't seem to accumulate that much stuff. Seems to build up a lot of lead in the barrel so I'm going to try some FMJ to make it a little easier to clean. But - bottom line - I love this little gun. Recommended it highly to my son who will probably be buying one soon.

Glad your're having fun with your snub.

I used to buy American Eagle and that used to terribly foul my revolvers. I switched to PMC and it was a little better, I tried Atlanta Arms ammo in 357 and was much better.

Just bought the new M&P 22. Love everything about it...except the rear sight. Got a new one on the way from S&W....free.

I once owned a 908 and a 908S and regretted getting rid of them to fund some kind of ill-advised project with Fusion Firearms. Now I'm making up for it and just bought a 908S with three magazines at the LGS. Really nice pistol and I remember the rock-solid quality of it that made me buy one in the first place.

I have bought many guns since 2001 but only 3 "new" ones. 5" 1911, 4.25" 1911Sc and a PPK/S. All wonderful and performing great! They are kept right along side my older Smiths and I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything new from S&W.:)

New purchase

Hello all! I am new to this and to purchasing pistols. I just bought a 686+ deluxe Talo and want to remove wood grips and replace with pachmayr. will this work? I also have a 1973 colt combat commander what would it be worth? It is like NIB condition

I got a new 642 without the lock this week. Waiting on the Remora I ordered and have a Blackhawk pocket holster. Will be carrying 125 +P Golddots. Man I like this gun!
