I carry a 2.75" Security Six occasionally in a cheap nylon IWB holster, I would carry it a lot more if I had a decent holster for it. any recommendations?

I don't have a gun to use as a form, for the speed six. You might check with Mike Barranti at barrantileather.com, Mike makes some really nice stuff! Good People!

I carry a 10-6 in a Bianchi 5b holster at the 4o clock position. It is stoked with 148 garin wadcutters at the moment. Summer carry is the same with Critical Defense of the "FBI" load.

CCW A 3" K frame in a pancake. Out in the
woods a 4" 657 MT. gun in a pancake holster.
I've carried an auto LH for last 20 yrs( GK23, Kahrs, 3953, 6946, 4553) never had a mag drop. You might try moving your holster back an inch or two with a forward (FBI) cant. All my autos are carried in a Blade-Tech holster mainly IWB 12 to 14 hours a day no problems. The problem with revolvers is weight after 8 hrs you know that N frame is on your hip. The older I get the lighter I like my carry gun to be. I guess I'm getting wimpy.

I carry a 629-2e round butt with a 3 " barrel in a fanny pack.

It fits perfect and with a 2" padded leather belt is comfortable to wear all day.

Next addition to it, will be a crimson trace laser grip, which will not add anything to the size, but allow quick target acquisition.

I am replacing my Kimber Ultra CDP2/with crimson trace with the 629.

As I get older I`m getting leery of Semi Autos. I/E is there a round in the chamber ,Is the safety on or off etc. and then there is the issue of carrying it in condition 2 etc.

Twice I have removed the Kimber from my old unmodified fanny pack and found the safety off with a round in the chamber. Just about gave myself heart failure!!!
I modified the fanny pack to prevent unintentional safety release and it hasn`t happened again, but it still worries me.
Sorry if I am getting off subject.

Su Amigo,
Dave

I need to get me a nice jacket like that Dave. That hides guns real good! I normally wear a waist length jacket and they sure make hidin a gun a challenge! I can get away with it with my J Frame or stubby Glock... but not a 3 or 4".

Thanks for sharing your method.

I either carry a 1911 in 45 ACP or a 4" S&W 44 Mag. Most usually in a Milt Sparks IWB holster. If it is warm weather I just leave my shirt tail out.

Started with the 1911 @ 1967, the 44 Mag @ 1970.

Bein' an old cow hand, nobody even thinks twice about a western style vest that I have worn daily for over 40 years or what might be lurking under it.
I carry a Mdl 19 daily in this rig.

If I go to the ranch or my choice for the day changes to an N frame, I change holsters

You orta know Podner, you orta know!!!

I have several snubby revolvers but I like to carry my trusty 4 " Model 10 from time too time. Just something about a classic K frame.

As mentioned earlier, a snub 19 or 66 is tough to beat, but my 242 is extremely comfortable for a "larger" frame. It is an acquired taste style-wise, but is a great carry revolver.

can anyone recommend a good conceal carry holster for N and L frames revolvers with 4" barrels

I have a "Wheelgunner" by Galco that I carry a 4" Md28 in. It's comfortable and can be worn strong side or crossdraw by both left and right handers. I really like this holster and it conceals under a short coat or untucked shirt nicely.

I use IWB holsters almost exclusively......much easier to conceal and I don't have to worry about the toe of the holster showing.

I carry my model 19. Its funny because I carried that to work on Sunday all day long and didn't notice the weight, then the next day went I went to work with my Sigma I notice how light weight my Sigma was LOL.

Also I'm a lefty myself and have found holsters that would not interferer with the mag button on my Sigma and M&P.

I carry a Model 66 3", tough to find but absolutely the best K-frame .357 CCW S&W's ever made. The Model 65 3" or Model 13 blued equivalent is a great choice, too. The 66 just handles a bit better for me.

N-frames: Any of them--wise ammo selection is important--with 3, 3.5" or 4" barrels without full underlugs--and particularly ones with the tapered barrels used in the past or on the Mountain Gun series.

Of all the N-frames, the old-school Model 27 with the 3.5" barrel or a plainer-Jane Model 28 4" in .357 Mag would probably be my absolute favorites for CCW belt carry.

Four inch K frame model 64 or 10 in an A E Nelson vertical shoulder holster in winter, with a 2 inch model 10 in an IWB strong side. I have a sideguardleather IWB quicksnap with a healthy cant that is comfortable with either the 4 inch or 2 inch barrel K Frames for strong side. I also have an A E Nelson clip on IWB and summer special IWB that work pretty well for cross draw in the summer. Experimenting right now with a remora IWB for the 2 inch K frame, and it is comfortable and seems pretty secure, and allows me to sit it deeper inside the waistband. The 2 inch Ks are top heavy and need to sit lower. Love the fixed sight Ks. All my carry guns have bobbed hammers. Lefty posts in the vendor section (bellcharteroakholsters), and makes some really nice looking stuff for revolvers.....his Mae West is calling to me.

I carry a Smith 327 PC in my business satchel during the work week and a Kimber ultra carry II on my person during the weekend. I wish there was a IWB holster for the 327 to make a bit more concealed. I love the gun but tends to show itself despite trying to be a CCW.
