If you could be any fictional Western character ...

I PLAY THIS GAME EVERY NIGHT WITH THE WIFE, WATCHING TV

"THAT'S WHAT'S HIS FACE FROM THAT SHOW, NO IT'S NOT, YES IT IS". THE jailer with the shotgun was Walter Brennan, not Jack Elam. The other version the jailer Bull had a bugle & a rifle I don't know what type, or his name. Same movie the Duke played lead both times, one with Robert Mitchum, the other with Dino.

Walter Brennan played "Stumpy" in Rio Bravo. Jack Elam was in Rio Lobo. Arthur Hunnicutt played "Bull" the Indian fighter with the bugle and the revolving rifle in El Dorado.

I loved "Bull" as well. He was a great character. Also liked Arthur Hunnicutt...I like to imagine we're related, as my Great-Great (Great?) Grandmother's name was Hunnicutt, and she was Indian. That, and Bull reminds me of several of my Uncles.

Tim

Britt/ James Coburn in the Magnificent Seven. Gun, knife, didn't matter. Plus tall and skinny- I mean, as long as we're talking complete and utter fiction...

The movies be:
Rio Bravo--El Dorado.

My top choices:

Will Kane, "High Noon"

Jimmy Ringo, "The Gunfighter"

Shane, "Shane"

And, last but never least:

John Bernard Books, "The Shootist"

And so I tip my hat to Gary Cooper, Gregory Peck, Alan Ladd, and, of course, himself, John Wayne.

In terms of sheer character, I would like to be as decent a man as Will Kane.
