If you could have only one belt fed machine gun what would it be?

Well, it's become my favorite very fast: M240B. Heavy, but WONDERFUL, and crazy reliable and accurate.

I'm pretty happy with this one.:D

Dillon M134 Minigun to go with my Dillon DL450 and DL550. Dr Gatling and GE had the correct idea. I have a 308 brass case + aluminum bullet dummy round for function testing a M134.

Same old story -- I got the brass, now I got to get the gun. :D

Another here for "Ma-Deuce".

.....if anything, just to be able to say: "Look what I have":D

The M2HB is the hands-down winner.

I would like a 1919, just for the lower cost of running the 30-06.
But that's like buying a Ferrari and keeping it under 65 MPH all the time... :D

Assuming someone else is buying the ammo I had the most fun with a Mk19.

Well, we've had about only one gun, only one hand gun...so I figure what the heck :D

Sir, add me to the M2 .50-cal column.

FWIW, this would be a harder question if it included all machine guns. Or are you thinking of additional polls to come? Favorite SMG, favorite sturmgewehr, water-cooled vs. air-cooled, recoil- vs. gas-operated, etc.?

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

The Mk 48 Mod 0
It is a gas-operated, air-cooled, fully automatic, belt-fed machine gun that fires 7.62×51mm NATO ammo.

The Mk 48 Mod 0 can be fed from a loose belt, separate belt boxes, or clip-on ammunition pouches for 100 rounds.

:-)

Now this is really an unfair question. Just too many bases to cover with just one. At a minimum, you need a 5.56 of some type for woodchuck, a .30 cal. for deer, a .50 BMG for elk and moose, and that's not counting a compact carry weapon for you know, just in case....

Ma Deuce is great but if ammo is free and unlimited give me a M134 Minigun I might need to clear a forest for a free kill zone. Can't beat 3,000 rounds per minute
