If you could own drink one brand of soda which one would you chose?

At one time this would have been an easy question to answer, but now...not so much. I love sugar free Big Red. I grew up drinking the regular version in Texas. When ever I went back to Texas for a visit, I would embarrass my Dad when I went to HEB to pickup two or three dozen two liter bottles to take back to Oklahoma. They have Big Red in Oklahoma now, but for some reason only the regular version. If I didn't have sugar free Big Red I drank sugar & caffeine free Dr Pepper. Now that I'm preparing to move back to Texas in a few months, I'm seeing that I can't find the sugar & caffeine free version of Dr Pepper(not in two liter bottles, anyway)just the caffeinated version, which I don't need with my sleeping habits! I tell you , I just can't win.

I know that many folks will think this is a bit crazy or, perhaps, unhealthy, but I drink about 8-10 sodas every day.

My favorite? Coke Zero. Tastes almost-that's almost but not quite-as good as regular Coke, but has no calories, sugar, etc.

Many of my friends who shoot with me have said they detest the taste of diet drinks, but the same ones like the Coke Zero and say it doesn't taste so "diety."

I gave up coffee when I retired and almost never drink plain water (yuck!), so iced tea or Coke Zero are about my only beverages.

I have stopped drinking Pop, coke or soda. It makes me pee more often. The doc said the carbonated water irritates my bladder.
And when I was drinking soda it drank diet coke and I think it made me crave other sweets. Since I stopped drinking the stuff I pee less and don't eat as many sweets and have lost weight. So now it water, Ice tea, unsweetened, black coffee. bourbon.

I almost never drink soda anymore, but my favorite hands down is Schweppes tonic water. Followed by their ginger ale.

No booze in either, just a little spritz of lime juice if that. Or, in the case of the tonic, equal parts of grapefruit juice.

Besides the fact that it tastes good (to me), tonic water is effective in warding off leg cramps. It's the quinine.

When we were kids my friend had the same line over and over which made me laugh always.

Dave, what kind of soda do you want?

Get me a Royal Crown you Clown.:D

Favorite soda

Pepsi, maybe out of habit. Can make doe with Coke in restaurants that only buy from one vendor. Dr Pepper goes down well too.

In Ref P&R Fan I do enjoy A&W root beer especially from the tap in a mug. We have developed a habit of stopping at the A&W/Long John Silvers near the fairgrounds after the Des Moines gun shows. Nothing beats A&W from the tap.

I gave up soda last summer (July) and haven't had a sip of the stuff since. That being said, if I still drank soda, if I could only choose one type it'd be Mountain Dew. I get sinus headaches with the changing of the seasons, and the high caffeine content in Mountain Dew actually helped get rid of them. If I need energy, I'll just have a cup of coffee or two.

Up until a year ago I would have answered unequivocally:

Vernor's Ginger Ale.

Then I made a trip to Massachusetts.

And fell head over heels for

MOXIE!

Can't buy it in Ohio so by the time I pay for shipping, a case costs $20.

So it's a rare treat.

Dr. Pepper is the only drink! In a tight you can chase a shot of Jack Black. But only in a tight. Do not mix to sip. It's just awful. Yes I have !

RC. Period.

All I drink at home is RC. It's plentiful in the grocery stores here and on sale pretty often, so I always stock up.

I'll drink it when eating out, too, if the restaurant has it. If not, then Classic Coke.

I drink maybe one soft drink a month. Don't care much for it anymore. I have no strong preference, but if forced to choose, Pepsi.

I like Coke Zero. What can I say? The full-on-chock-full-of-sugar soda never has appealed to me, even when I was a kid.

Used to like Tab. Then Diet Coke with lemon. Then Diet Coke with lime. When they started making Zero, I was hooked.

Im that way with the Zero and 10 calorie sodas. I cant stan the regular stuff anymore.

Barq's Root Beer is my #1!

When I drink a soda (we call it pop out here), which is rarely, it's always Barq's.
