If you could visit any era in time when would it be?

I's like to go back to 1960, while my Dad and my Step Dad were alive and thank them. Both were combat veterans, Dad in the AAF in Europe, and then the Merchant Marine Service, and My Step Dad a POW on Bataan.

The old wild West would be my first choice.
Travel by horse back.
Smell air and see a sky not tainted by gasoline or lights.
Not have to get a permit for every blessed thing you do.
Not saying I would want to live my life there though who
knows I might like it so much I would stay. Just want to visit.

1970. I was there and it was fabulous but I was only 14 at the time. Would have liked to have been several years older so as to be able to walk in to a dealership and order a brand new Hemi Road Runner, zero option, post coupe.

For me it would be WW 2 in the Solomon Islands to meet Boyington and see what the Black Sheep were really like.

I'd go there to find my dad and tell him to hang in there because everything turned out OK for him in the long run. 5 kids that respected him, a wife that still misses him 20 years after he died and the respect of almost everyone that knew him.

neolithic age ,id like to see how the community functioned, how people thought .
did hard work bring success, or did politics play a large part ,as with any human endevour?
or the first domestication of dogs or horses.
or the developement of bow and arrow technology.
or the first edged tool/weapon
