has the Apex recoil spring worked OK? Any light strikes on factory ammo?

Have any of you gone back to the stock recoil spring? I've heard rumblings about this and Im curious to see how many folks have gone back to the stock recoil spring.

After installing the Apex kit in my SD40VE, I only have shot 100 rounds of WWB and Federal ammo without any problems. To me it feels a lot better then stock. I have all the springs installed.

Recoil spring? My Apex trigger kits did not have a recoil spring. The kits greatly lowered the trigger resistance. I sometimes carry my SDs and began to feel that the triggers might be too light. Finally, after reading about some light strikes, I went back to the stock striker spring. The trigger is still much lighter than factory. To be fair, I never had a light strike issue. I just felt that the full kit resulted in a trigger that was too light for carry.

Recently I purchased a SD VE. I like the stock trigger and doubt that I will pit a kit into it. It makes me wonder if my original SDs really needed the kits. Oh well. Shoot yours a lot before you spend the money. The good news is that the kits are inexpensive and easy to swap out if you want to go back to stock.

The kit has a trigger return spring, a striker spring, and a striker block spring. The striker spring is the only one that would cause and light strikes, but after 250 rounds I have yet to have any issues.

Sorry, I meant the striker spring.

I've shot about 200 rounds with the Apex springs, no issues what so ever. definitely worth the $20 and 90 minute headache getting the pins out!
