Before the presidential election, I was severely chastised numerous times by gun-owning supporters of Barack Obama for suggesting that he was the absolute worst choice for president.

You see, my litmus test for any politician or public servant is a proven voting record (not rhetoric) on gun-related legislation. Obama has never met a gun control bill that he did not support. His voting record on gun control legislation is 100% anti-gun.

Yet for some reason that to this day I still do not understand, normally sane "pro-gunners" actually voted for Obama in sufficient quantities to get him elected.

Well, those "Gun Owners for Obama" got fooled and here is the proof…

If a politician will vote to limit in any way your rights to own, carry, or use ANY type of firearm, then he is effectively attempting to shift the balance of power away from the people who elected him and place more power into the hands of the government.

What does a politician have to fear from allowing his law-abiding constituents to own or carry the same weapons as our military and police?

What does a politician have in mind for us and our children that he cannot trust us with firearms?

What kind of change does a politician want for our country that he feels he must first disarm us to accomplish?

Watch this video from a respected news source to see Obama's true colors.

I doubt that anyone who is a member of this site ever suspected Obama wsa a closet gun rights advocate.

Any gun owner who voted for Obama thinking he was not a threat to their Second Amendment rights was not "fooled" - they were fools.

There is a big difference.

I forwarded this to my self-proclaimed Second Amendment liberal lawyer buddies who all voted for Obama believing he was not an anti-gun advocate.

The "Guns owners for Obama" were shills, before the election several discussions in the lounge pointed out that these people were sponsored by various liberal groups. I think their main purpose was to help get Congressmen and Senators elected from swing districts. We had lots of radio ads here on talk stations from "Hunters & Shooters of America" anyone who believed these ads, should come and look at the rest stop on I 75 that I am selling, a real money maker.

If we had gotten John Edwards, he would have too busy keeping up his hoocie momma and their kid.
Gun Owners for Osama, now that is a oxymoron.

I think a lot of liberals who voted for Obama
feely they've been had. Harharhar.

BlackhawkNJ, you are soooooooo right, duped, fooled and used!!!!

We will be in another country for war in months, prisoners will still be on Cuba and at some point, who can they blame?

By Christmas, no need to blame Bush any more for his budget will be in play, he will have been there about a year, and I suspect busines will have a dismal Christmas retail season. So then who ya gonna call?????
Seems like another wacky Jimmy Carter Pres. is in the making, one term and all. The Hippies have the congress and whitehouse, so lets see the peace and love.

Just spent an afternoon get-together with our son and his wife and two other couples of his generation. Not one of them would even talk about Obama or his getting elected by those of their ilk. All just acknowledged being duped and regretting their decision to "get back at Bush and the Republicans." They would say no more......
These are 30-somethings that carried Obama on their shoulders. Not one comment on the new debt or the bail-outs or loss of gun rights. Not one.....

I talked to quite a few gun owners and fellow shooters, many very serious about 2-A rights, more than a few IDPA shooters. There were a number of Ron Paul supporters (not even remotely effective for any purpose as a vote choice this election) and this pervasive and often outspoken "anti-Bush" sentiment among many of them. Yeah, some gun owners supported Obama, intentionally. I imagine some were stupid enough to be duped, but I'd like to think they were in the minority. Others seem to have had a polyanna attitude that 'he's got too much else to worry about to come after us now'. But it was those who *didn't* support the Republicans, because of an anti-Bush, anti-McCain or pro-third party loser position that caused a lot of damage in areas where the Republicans should have won (like Virginia). You only need to remember the discussions, or look back at the forums a week before and the few days after the election, to see that it wasn't just getting fooled that had some fellow gun owners letting the rest of us down so that the Obamaites prevailed. Man, I'd love to have seen gun owners deliver an 98+% bloc vote like certain demographic groups did this past election. But it didn't happen that way and for stupider reasons than being duped.
