Heard that on the AM news radio. These jack-wagons are as predictable as they are mis-guided. I unfortunately live close enough to Chicago that they dominate the airwaves.

It was funny a few months back when the Fast and Furious stupidity surfaced and a senator from Illinois named Durbin began reading from the statist script about how the US is flooding Mexico with our evil "assault weapons". He must have not got the memo to lay low because the whole propaganda exercise turned to poop. I bet his phone was ringing 30 seconds after he was on the radio making a huge donkey out of himself.

Yes he just ignored the constitution of this state rewriting a bill. I so want to move out of this Communist state but my ex has my children here so I am stuck.

lol. What a compassionate man. He also showed great concern for the 700 or so who have been killed with guns in Chicago, where guns are all but illegal, in the first 7 months of this year alone, right? Lamented how a city with the toughest gun control in the nation leads the nation in gun violence?

I'd like to know how many of those murders were with "assault weapons". I'm betting very few, maybe a handful. As bad as things are in parts of Chicago if I were governor I'd drive in with truckloads of guns for the law abiding folks that live there and hand them out like we were shipping aid to a starving village.

the Q ball has been OD for years.

this state needs a balanced budget, better roads, higher standards in schools, more employment and this is the best that gov Q (Blagojevich's right hand man) can come up with.
not to mention , we are the ONLY state in the union that does NOT permit CCW, because everything is so SAFE here.

The sad thing is, get 100 miles below Chicago and it's nice country and people, too bad the upper 1/3 runs it.

FBI Statistics for 2010 list the deaths from so called "assault weapons"

Illinois Statistics 2010
-Total Murders - 453
-Firearm Murders - 364
-Handgun - 355
-Rifle - 3
-Shotgun - 1
-Firearm Unknown - 5
-Knives - 30
-Other Weapons - 43
-Hands, fists, feet - 16

So by including rifles and shotguns as assault weapons..
Hands, Fists, and Feet have taken four times more lives then "assault weapons". I hate living here so bad. Cook County has an AWB, though it isn't fully enforced (depending where you go and who you talk too), a state wide ban would be some real trouble.

It is sad owning a Ruger 1022 in a certain configuration could be breaking the "law"

I am rather disgusted with this at the moment.
