I'm back

Cuba was awesome. Great food. Great people. But i had no internet for a week. Reflecting on it I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Kind of nice to visit a place where everyone isn't face booking or texting. Anyway, I'm at Miami airport waiting to get home. Going on a 4 hour layover due to engine trouble so we are switching planes. When i get my pics loaded on my computer I will post some really cool shots. Some of them even involve guns.

IN all seriousness, I have heard its a beautiful country.... I have never been, but my Eldest Daughter is 1/4 Cuban. I hope that one day we can get a normal govt in there and maybe go there together....

Don't know how Sip got into Cuba (that's something he will have to answer) but I do know for a fact the US Gov't allows US Citizens to go there on "Humanitarian Missions". I have friends that just returned from there a few weeks ago. They donated money to a certain group (humanitarian aid) and were allowed to fly there directly from Kennedy Airport. I am sure there are a few other reasons you can legally go there and plenty of US Citizens also skirt the letter of the law and fly there from Mexico, or Canada.

An old friend of mine, a jazz and blues singer, went to Cuba quite legally several years ago to take drumming lessons. She loved it.

Sorry guys...no cigars...smoked them all down there. Didn't want to deal with TSA or customs. But a box of 25 for 50 bucks in old Havan was tempting. Couldn't be sure if they were authentic though.

Anyway, I was allowed to go because I worked on a film and since it's historical based (the life of Ernest Hemingway), it was allowed. It was supposed to go last year but Sharone Stone pulled out and production shut down. So they got her replaced with Joely Richardson and it should be wrapped by the first week of May. I played an FBI agent. Probably the only Italian FBI agent in the 50s....
