Barberton, Oh
I Hope. Since 2004 and getting my concealed handgun license I have purchased around 60 handguns. Wish I still had them all but usually had to sell one to buy another.
I started with a Springfield XD9. I've had S&W 442s, 642s, a 637. I've had a Sig P239 and P232. I've had 3 M&p9cs a M&P40c,Sig 238, Sig938, Rossi M88, Kahr CW9, CM9, PM9, Sig 2022 and 3 Kimbers. You get the idea.
After carrying almost every conceivable carry gun I have settled on the M&P Shield in 9MM for concealed carry and M&P9fs for home defense. The reliabilty of the M&P pistols is the main reason and concealability of the Shield is why I don't think I'll ever trade or sell it.
I have to be honest, I sell or trade a lot because getting a new gun is like Christmas morning EVERY time. LOL! If I had to return to the list I would go with the Kahr PM9 and the Sig P239. The downside to having guns that I'm not willing to part with is that I miss that Xmas morning feeling. Hopefully someday I will be able to buy a new gun without selling something I like.

um.......who are you trying to convince?
From one frequent gun trader/buyer/seller to another....

You will trade that thing off as soon as another "perfect" gun comes into the picture! :p

I have found the perfect concealed carry gun at least 12 times, and keep buying/selling/trading....

I currently have a S&W 66 snub, S&W 442, and a Ruger SP101 coming from Gemini Customs, and am DONE searching for concealed carry weapons!!

Although I did see a nice S&W 640 Pro recently........:o

I do the same thing you guys do, except I don't sell or trade the old ones off to get the new ones.

My Christmas morning experience is when I dig to the back of the safe and find an older gun I didn't remember I had!!! :D

I've gone through quite a few, as well. I finally decided to standardize on a double-action pull for the first round, with no safety to disengage. My 3913 has taken over for a few different size 1911's, and I can't imagine finding anything better. It took over 20 yrs to get into my holster.

Then again, by the time this thread ends, I may have changed my mind!

Hey, fonejack; Good Luck with hoping for no lift to
the spirits. It'll never go away!

I have found the perfect concealed carry handgun myself. I am also done searching for perfection, atleast for this week.

My perfect concealed carry gun:

315 Night Guard
66-2 3" Custom Shop DAO
442 Pro Moon Clip
15-5 2" Snub
10-5 2" Snub
625 3" Snub Power Custom Combat
310 Night Guard

Winter Mix:

4" 686-5 My #2 SSR Gun Power Custom
4" 64 My #1 SSR Gun Power Custom
4" 610 ND Power Custom Combat
5" Colt Custom 1911

My When I might Plink Carry Mix:

LCR 22
4" 617

WOW I cannot quit just yet I am missing a 640 and probably an SP101 from the mix. Might make that a 640 Pro.

I guess I am still working on what the single perfect concealed carry gun is. It is nice to have so many to evaluate.

I just can't decide:

There used to be a time when a feller only had one sidearm to fret and fuss over. Now, some of the really spoiled folks have 'em for every day of the week. :)

Well, never say never. I ran across a Colt Police Positive Special made in 1962 that has never been fired. I couldn't resist and ended up selling the M&P fs to recoup the money for the Colt.
I guess I'll never really be done. But, now that I think about it, why would I ever want to be done buying new guns. It's so much fun.

I mainly carry either my 3 m64s or my Ruger Speed Six,SP101 or,my Rock Island CS pistol in .45 during the weeks of each month. Revolvers and my single stack .45 is all i have now. Hi-cap pistols to me is just to hard for me to load anymore. So I sold them all.

I've only sold three of the guns I've ever owned in my life: an H&R 22, an SW40VE & a Browning Belgian made 380. Someone wanted the 22 more than I did, the Sigma was fine but just didn't work for me, & the Browning I regret selling to this day. I've still got my Model 686-2, my High Power, my Shield 40 & M&P40c for concealed carry, and all my 3rd Gens for range fun. I don't see any of my current line up going anywhere!:cool:
