I'm having Brain Surgery Friday

Our prayers are with you.

To put a positive spin on this: My brother has exploratory brain surgery, and near the same time I had groin hernia surgery.

Ignoring diagnosis details, and the fact he was on forced limited activity for some days, his recovery was easier than mine!

Prayers be with you Dan. Many here know that my brother had brain surgery almost a year ago, early June '12. Initially they thought he had a malignant tumor, but it turned out to be benign. Brain surgey being serious business in any event, he's made a full and complete recovery. They have some great
doctors in Louisville.
May God watch over you in the coming days and months.:)

May The Good Lord hold His protective hand over you and keep you safe. I hope things go better than anyone expects and you are back on your feet quickly. :)

My prayers are with you!
There are good reasons to be optimistic.

Our best friends son has several open skull operations and none of them went wrong. Some were even done while he was awake. (Cringe City!) He has epilepsy about as bad as it can be and still survive.

The take away here is, they can go in, do their job, and get out out without causing something catastrophic.
Hang in there, and get back afterwards and tell us how you are doing.
Bill

Best wishes and prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!

Thoughts and prayers for you.

Some 15 years ago, it was discovered that my wife had a bunch of malformed blood vessels in her brain that had begun to leak. We were told she wouldn't live long unless this was removed. She had surgery, and recovered fully and quickly. We've since been blessed with two sons, and she is still good as new. Hope yours works out as well.

About midway through the surgery, the surgeon walks out into the waiting room, eating a sandwich, and sits down to update me on the progress. I told hime I thought he should probably be back in there where she was. He laughed.
