I'm having Brain Surgery Friday

My prayers are with you!
There are good reasons to be optimistic.

Our best friends son has several open skull operations and none of them went wrong. Some were even done while he was awake. (Cringe City!) He has epilepsy about as bad as it can be and still survive.

The take away here is, they can go in, do their job, and get out out without causing something catastrophic.
Hang in there, and get back afterwards and tell us how you are doing.
Bill

Best wishes and prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!

Thoughts and prayers for you.

Some 15 years ago, it was discovered that my wife had a bunch of malformed blood vessels in her brain that had begun to leak. We were told she wouldn't live long unless this was removed. She had surgery, and recovered fully and quickly. We've since been blessed with two sons, and she is still good as new. Hope yours works out as well.

About midway through the surgery, the surgeon walks out into the waiting room, eating a sandwich, and sits down to update me on the progress. I told hime I thought he should probably be back in there where she was. He laughed.

After this you'll have an excuse to get away with a lot of stuff.
Seriously, prayers launched for a good surgery and a speedy recovery.

Nothing to it and quite common. Prayers up to a speedy recovery.

I trust he will reinstall the 1/2" (.50 caliber) plug?

MAN, I'm floored by all the responses.....and so quickly-Thanks.

I feel good about it OBVIOUSLY !
He has been doing 4 or 5 a month for 10 years.

Thanks Again
Dan

I'm happy to see you have such a good outlook and can laugh about it. I think that's important to your healing.

God bless.

You will have lots of excuses to forget things from now on. Be positive and we want to hear again from you on the flip side of this thing. Prayers will be said.

Is a .50" hole better than a .45"? :)

Dan,

My prayers are with you.

To quote someone that I respect greatly: "HIS Trains 'a LEAVIN"

But...it's OK to miss this one...there will be another coming down the tracks much later for you, buddy.

Bob

Prayers to you and yours. I had a brain biopsy done a while back. They drilled a quarter size hole just behind my right ear. Scar tissue closed it up and it feels like bone. So, unless you start poking at it, it will feel 'natural'. Not that big a difference betweem the scar tissue and bone. I usually forget about it until someone brings it up. No big deal really.

Hey Dan - Sorry you need to go in and my thoughts will be with you - a prayer was sent at 7:26 pm PST for ya to the big guy. I'm sure you will do just fine!

Be sure to join us when you can!!

Best to you.

Pete
