I'm new to this Forum and I am not seeing many posts around the S&W 327 Performance Pug nose. Any thoughts from users? Anybody selling one used? I saw and held at the range and just "love it". $1300 price tag is tough. Thanks

I picked up one earlier this year,It will become my edc in the cooler months ,I will say with 357 mag its tough on my old 74 year old hands .LOL It just looks BAD A#s.

Lust is a perfect word for my feelings too. But in the end I took a 586 L-comp and am very satisfied.

Very nice choice - Perf Ctr, 37 oz., compensator, great recoil management for quick follow-up shots, all steel; and, like the 327 PUG, arguably one of the nicest looking revolvers S&W has produced. Second picture a 586 L-Comp is next to an N frame 8 Shot.

I really want to stumble across a gently used 327 JM. Not my pic.

I'm not a huge fan of .357 snubs...you just lose so much velocity and gain so much flash.

My favorite 8 shot or defensive revolver period is the no longer available Blood Work UDR PC 627 with the fluted cylinder. If the 327 Pug says 'lust' the original 627 UDR says 'business.' A smooth cylinder PC 627 is still offered by S&W, I fine looking weapon to be sure, but the original . . .

A 627PC 2-5/8" is more to my liking, at 35 oz. I have a TRR8, which is a scandium frame, steel cylinder 327 with a 5" barrel. It's a nice shooter, but a little long for concealed carry.

Yes! The PC 627 you mention is 37 oz. and change and does great with hot .357 short barrel ammo and otherwise.

IMO, the 327 pug is not only ugly, it is too light to handle full-bore .357 magnum without pain. It would be different if it had a stainless steel cylinder, more like 32 oz instead of 20 something. It feels like a toy the first time you pick one up.

I've lusted over the "Pug nose" for a while and I had the chance to buy one but at the time wanted something smaller. I ended up buy the model 60 pro series, which I love to shoot but regret buying because I cant find a freakin holster for it. Although the pug nose is a very big snub nose, I hope to buy one someday.

I only shoot .357's from mine, not painful at all. Buy it you won't regret it.

i made my own left handed holster. as for the 327 i waited for one for 2 years before my shop found one. i like it but it's a handful with the .357 loads. i think it shoots like a .22 with .38.
