I've recently become interested in 5" bbls to some degree. Always felt longer barrels were less practical, but they have their place (more for shootin than totin). Still a snubbie fan, but I found a shooter grade 5" Model 10-5 for a decent price yesterday and I picked it up. As with most Model 10s in decent shape, it locks up tight and groups quite well. It was apparently born in late '72 or early '73 (D464,xxx).

The interesting thing is it has an Interarms stamp on the left side of the frame. Can I assume it was shipped overseas and came back? Can anybody tell me what this indicates?

Anybody ever seen this on a 1970s M10? It says "Interarms Alex VA". You can see the location in the photo.

The SCSW says the RCMP had some 10-5s with 5" bbls but they had lanyard rings, and would have a RCMP stamp on the backstrap. Any help or ideas about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
