IMPORTANT JUNE DATES

For all of us fingerstyle guitar lovers, Chet Atkins was born on June 20, 1924 and I was born on June 20 1956.
That reminds me, I have a beautiful Pre-20 6 1/2" bbl revolver I need to get lettered. I've had it for many years and it's all matching including the grips. Years ago Dr Jinks let me know it was shipped in June of 56 (my birth year AND month). So I keep wondering if by chance it shipped on the 20th! Would that be cool or what!

June 20 is also my BD (not that that counts for much) and I am pleased to share it with several famous people, not the least of which is Audie Murphy. A bright star among the galaxies of bright star heroes of WW2

President Trump and I were born on the same day a couple 10+ or so years apart. God bless the flag and all that fly her

Surprised what with all the LEO's retired and active on the board that nobody has yet mentioned June 2.
National Donut day.

How to get a Cop's attention. :D

My Dad never wore a badge but most of his buddies did.
They would stop by the VA hospital in NYC to visit their friends, who were long term care after WWII and Korea, once a week.
Once a month they took this wee lad with them.
Hospital guard would say, no kids allowed.
They gave him a hard look and replied, he's with us.
That was followed by a trip to the gun range.
No kids allowed, to which they replied, he's with us.
Those Detectives could shoot their snubs with great accuracy.

I was reminded  yesterday that it was 32 years ago that my wife and I had our first date.
I knew then, she was going to be the one.

In addition to Flag Day, June 14th is also Trump's birthday and National Bourbon Day!

What a coincidence, I had an old fashion on my bday. First I asked for Eagle Rare and was told that they were out. I then asked for Wellers Special Reserve. This time the manager came to my table with a bottle of Blanton's. He told me that they had problems with their ordering. Asked me if I had ever tried the bottle he was holding. He gave me a small taster. I told him that it would do.:D Gave it to me for the price of the Eagle Rare.

I have the utmost respect for history and important remembrances however June 21 is a special day for me. Outside of the "Summer Solstice" it is also the 3rd Wednesday, also known as "payday." 5 weeks between in this interval so I'll be shakin' down the couch for coins in the meantime. Joe

DOUBLE LIKE:eek::rolleyes::D

Ruthie's sister Sharon turned 66 today. She has CP and has been without the use of her legs since birth. Ruthie and my two daughters took her to Panera for lunch.

When they returned, the Activities Director had set up a cake and ice cream party in the community room and invited all the residents.

A wonderful time was had by all.
