politcal correctness could someone enlighten me as to what the name for the Washington NFL team will be this year? It will be a hard habit to break calling them a new name after 65 years or so. "Those damn original inhabitants" they were offsides." What is the new name? Inquiring minds want to know? Legislatures, pages, lawmakers?

Personally, It'd anger me if they changed the logo. It was designed by a Blackfoot artist many years ago.

I think Redskins is a fine name and, if you think about it, must have originally implied something positive about the folks who were called Indians at the time.

What seems insulting to me, however, is to have those people involuntarily associated with Washington DC.

Maybe they should just call them the Redskins, and pretend they play for some other city.

This whole issue is ridiculous.
The PC people are insane. Several years ago I read a story they were protesting the name Cleveland Browns. That was obviously a horrible racist name. They were quite embarrassed when it was pointed out the original owner Was Paul Brown.
Then a few years ago the NCAA was putting pressure on college teams with Indian names. Seminoles and stuff like that. They were all high and mighty in their condemnation. They were of course meeting in Indianapolis.
