info for wsl powder

Winchester tenth edition lists a 9mm load.

115 FMC WSL 4.5 grains 1125 fps 32,000 cup

45 ACP

230 FMC WSL 5.1 grains 830 fps 19,000 cup

Not much data but it is a start.

Looking at the above data this seems to be a fast powder similar to Bullseye.

I Google up some data so it is out there.

I found some win pdf files online that has it listed but just for 9mm 10mm 40 and 45acp. I guess thats what I am limited to. Got to make this 8lb jug of wsl not go to waste.

I found the 14th edition online. It looks like I am just going to use it for my 45acp and 9mm. Was hoping to use it in 38 but oh well I have lots of red dot.

It was designed for super light 12 Ga. loads with light payloads.
It tops out in pressures way before Bullseye and Red Dot data
in the 12 Ga. loads.
Due to the low speeds with the larger payloads vs the pressures
I passed on getting this powder for my shotgun loading, even
though I shot a lot of 7/8 oz. target loads.

If you use it in pistol loads, just follow the loading data carefully.
This is not a powder I would want to test without data due to
the pressures involved.

Good loading.

Not sure where I came up with load for 38 special, but it works well in all my 38 special revolvers. I use 3.5 gr. of WSL & a 158 gr. lead swc.
