I'm guessing the gold is a "rub & buff" rub on gold. The Nickel plating is done outside the factory and the gun was heavily buffed. The frame has a 1 line address indicating it is a pre war, and has the barrel shaped ejector rod knob. The stag grips are not factory grips, but have a following.

You are showing a nice set of vintage sambar stag grips there. If they are a good fit and otherwise not messed up --- $225 and up. I've bought a number of Rugers and Colts over years with sambar stag grips. Selling the grips made the guns free or very close to it !
