I have been looking locally for a 5906, when a 5926 in a case at Gander Mt. caught my eye. I couldn't pass it up,it was priced fairly, so I bought it. The only real difference I see is the hammer is bobbed, the decocker is in a different place and the sights don't look like the Novaks. I intend to use it mainly as a range gun as I already have a 3913 for my CCW. Any information about this piece would be appreciated. Thanks.

Built 90-93, both round and square trigger guard, some didn't have the mag safety, best to check. You can always go up to the top of the page to "Find" and put in 5926 to read previous posts.

The decocker on the slide of a 5906 also acts as a manual safety. There is no manual/external safety on your 5926.

There's also a half-cock notch in that bobbed hammer.

I too had recently noticed the rarely discussed 5926. I had posted asking about how many might have been produced. Its interesting that no one has much to say about this model. I figured there would at least be several responses from other owners stating that they had one.
