dirty gary

Recently a friend was impressed with my light used to check powder. Most old timers have something similar, but if you don't here's an easy version. Take a 5 ft length of 12 ga. coated ground wire, clamp both ends side by side in a vise. Using a bolt as a handle, twist until you have a smooth straight length, kind of like a Twizzler. The loop fits under one of the base mount bolts on Dillons (550 in pic). Then tape a Maglight to it and bend to perfect angle. I aim the light straight into the case just before placing a bullet on. Once you know what a "correct" charge looks like, it's easy to confirm. Very useful if you use low charge weight powders like TiteGroup (sorry Skip, I've burned 40 lbs. of it without a hiccup).
