Dang it I was almost sold on M&P22, but after reading a few threads on it, here and a few other places, now I'm not sure...

I only want it for a Suppressor host, and maybe Bowlin Pin shoots at the local Gun Club, not for carry or training.

Awhile back, I picked up a SS Sparrow suppressor and I love it on my lil Savage Bolt action MKII FVSR. Shooting Subsonics, it sounds like a pellet gun. I thought it would be cool to have a .22 pistol it could be used on too.

Seems like a lot of these .22 pistols (S&W, Ruger, Walther, etc) no matter who, have a fair share of complaints.

How many of you that have the M&P22 (fullsize) it run it suppressed all or most of the time?

I run a warlock2 on mine with no problems using different bulk ammo.

are the complaints you're seeing from those running a suppressor and having hardware issues, or more just general .22lr ammo problems that can be "common" with various handguns and perhaps those ammo problems are magnified when suppressed?

Just thinking out loud there

I'm assuming unsuppressed as they never mentioned a suppressor, but you could be right...

Most of the ones I read on this forum where just people speaking a bit negatively about it, in comparison to the compact version...

I'll do a bit more reading... So far, its the M&P over anything else though...

I have one and have put through a good 1,000 plus rounds with zero problems, staying exclusively with CCI minimags.

I have one, I don't run it suppressed. I have been very happy with it. Approx 1000 rounds through it with very little problems. All problems were ammo related. I have found if I run high velocity ammo it runs great. The only thing I didn't like was the sights (eye getting old and couldn't see them well) so I changed them out with FO from Williams guns sight.

I've had one for a few months and have run about 500 rounds through it. Maybe half with an AAC Aviator on the front. No issues at all other than a few bulk 22 failures.

Hi guys! I'm a new guy here. Long stake out, first post.

I'm looking to get a m&p 22. I have an old high standard 22lr, that I shoot 1 inch groups at 15yards with. Can a expect to be in the same ball park with the m&p?? Is the potential there?

I'm a fairly good shot and with my M&P22 FS I can average 2.5 to 3 inch groups at 25 yards, with Mini-Mags, off a sand bag. My Ruger 22/45 would average 1.5 to under 2 inch groups.

Ok, so it's fair to say you add an inch or 1.25inch from a target style pistol? I'll have to get my hands on one and see how it feels;-)
