Yes, interesting. Surprised AZ was that low at #38. CO and CT with low numbers, too. Given their recent events, one could generalize some conclusions.

How do they know this? Population / # guns purchased over X # of years?

What about the guy that purchased 50 guns over the years?

I found it interesting that the article's photo showed a
short double barreled shotgun...An ol' Auto/Burglar mabee?

I need to know here method of calculation.
Also, there is a question about Texas that would need to be answered---but I won't bring that up.

I've never seen or heard of a survey regarding gun ownership by state but would suppose they use at least two factors to help determine this. First would be the number of hunting licenses issued, the second the number of gun purchases through dealers. Food for thought. I can see the next national census asking "Do you have a firearm in the house?". That would give the government an honest count since no-one would lie about such a thing.

What is this "gun ownership" you speak of? Mine all fell out of a canoe....

Edit: think the numbers might be skewed? How many folks will tell the Govt. they own guns if asked?

What a joke.Note how any state with over 50% ownership is referred to as "extreme". However, should one mention this bias, or inaccuracies, one is "alarmist" or "conspiracy theory nut".

Nevada listed as 33.8% holding firearms is an interesting number. I reckon that makes us even better liars than the folk in Texas.:p
