I'm not trying to be too judgmental here, but I found this individual's choice of attire to be interesting to say the least..... Perhaps those new to concealed carry can take something away from this.
I stopped by the gun shop today for some browsing. Not too long after I arrived, some guys came walking in and went over to the AR accessories. Almost as soon as they walked in, I heard one proclaim "Yeah I'm carrying an xyz gun" (the actual gun name was muffled).
As he said this, my eyes drifted over and I immediately saw the gun printed obviously on his hip. No, that's not what my thread title is about. Yeah I make sure to never print but if you don't care, that's fine.
Soon after, however, anyone could have seen he was carrying because as started to move around, his gun was exposed. Over and over again. OC is legal so there's no issue there.
He kept adjusting the gun and pulling his shirt back over it. I don't think a minute went by that his hand didn't go to his gun. At one point, he was squatted down right next to me with the gun exposed. It was in an Alien Gear holster, so I easily could have had possession of the gun in less than a second.
My observations on this....Mainly a poor shirt choice. His shirt was too short and possibly didn't have enough room around the waist. Carrying a larger handgun IWB at 4:00 generally requires a shirt with more room, if not for eliminating printing than at least to keep it covered.
All also, a better belt. His pants were nearly hanging off on his right side. This probably contributed to the constant exposures. Getting it through all the loops is an added bonus.
The other thing was he was very loud and animated.... really drew attention to himself. I'm wondering if he was perhaps new to concealed carry.
