Just got an e mail from Buds wanting to know if I want to sell back to them my P365 I bought this day last year. Must need inventory.

Well, replacement cost plus small profit plus shipping & tax…why not?

Interesting.

Didn't have any problem getting a P365 last month on an LE purchase through a local distributor here, and all of our local shops have them on the shelves.

Just checked and the distributor still has them 'on special' in their LE flyer and in stock.

"Dear Buds—thank you for the kind offer, but that gun was lost in a tragic boating accident off the Louisiana Coast in the Gulf of Mexico. All my ammunition too. I would accept gift certificates and/or deep discounts from you to help me rebuild my collection.

In close, I could fund a salvage operation if offered three times what I paid for the gun a year ago.

Sincerely,

If they'll come and get them, I'll give them a call. :)

I hate selling and shipping, and don't expect to get retail prices selling stuff to dealers. Some days I'd just like to get rid of stuff, but want more than 40% of their value. Maybe someone will come up with a business model that works for people like me, but I'm not smart enough to figure it out, and really there's not much incentive on the part of sellers. The cost of picking up only 40-50 guns makes it difficult to get enough profit to keep the lights on, and sooner or later they'll leave my possession one way or another.
