A GOOD LETTER TO SEND TO YOUR STATES REPRESENTATIVES:
As your constituent, I’m writing you to tell you how appalled I am at the present administration and the flagrant willingness it has to violate our Constitution. Obama and his Executive Orders to bypass the House on issues that concern the freedoms of Americans is WRONG. The taking of American rights and liberties because of a flawed mentality in the act of disarming America is ALSO WRONG. It doesn’t help at all when they say they only want to take “assault – semi auto – large capacity magazines”. We are not fools. Every gun owner is talking about it, and there are MILLIONS of us. The NRA alone has 4 MILLION members which is not even a drop in the bucket. We know ownership and even the registration of these items does NOTHING to advance gun violence and confiscating them will do NOTHING to eliminate gun violence. Everyone knows where this is going to end if the gun grabbers are not stopped and it’s not a pretty sight. They want them ALL and we know this is the first step in that process. It is NO secret. Dianna Feinstein said it years ago….”Mr. and Mrs. America….Turn them in…Turn them ALL in.” This is the desire of the Liberal Left and has been for years and years. Take away the Firearms. I STRONGLY URGE you Sir, to NOT BE A PART OF THIS PLAN. Do NOT be a part of putting America on this downward spiral of freedom of Americans. If these ridiculous laws pass, then we will enter an era that our forefathers were deathly afraid of and gave their lives to prevent.
Gun violence is the result of our failing “revolving door” legal system and corrupt judges that let criminals walk with a smack on the hand or pass down gutted and reduced sentences. They let violent criminals back out on the streets as evidenced in the recent killing of 2 firefighters by a man that BRUTALLY killed his grandmother with a hammer years ago and killed his sister just before killing the firefighters a few weeks ago. Did the guns kill those firefighters Sir? Or the ones that decided this man should be released? Was it the guns that killed all those kids at Sandy Hook Elementary Sir? Or was it the authorities who had the mother of the shooter begging for help and jumping through hoops in an attempt to get her son into an institution KNOWING he needed help? Again, was it the Psychiatric Doctor of the Aurora shooter that failed to notify authorities when she KNEW he was a danger to society that killed those people in the movie theater? Or was it the guns? These are the causes of gun violence in America. It's NOT the instrument itself.
Rather than look at how many lives are SAVED with firearms used in self-defense, we look at the number of victims, tragic though it is, in a handful of horrible crimes committed by such a small number of people you can count them on 1 hand. Rather than look at how many MILLIONS of lawful Citizens of the USA that own these firearms and NEVER commit a crime we look at such a small number of people you can count them on 1 hand that are violent, or mentally disturbed people and sometimes BOTH. This is a flawed mentality at best. Millions should suffer because of the actions of 2....4...or even 10 when MILLIONS of Americans are lawful gun owners? Remember, the first step of every dictatorship in HISTORY started with disarmament of the citizens and the phrase: “Give up your rights for the good of Society”.
